Understanding customer call escalations
Grouping data provides insights on:
Total calls received
Top escalation reasons
Escalation trends over time
Call logs capture detailed, row-level data
Grouping in Sigma helps summarize data to reveal patterns and support decisions
Setting up table groupings
Group by columns and apply calculations like sum or average.
Use multiple groupings like Year, Month, or Call Type.
Calculations on grouped tables
Calculate totals or averages on grouped data.
Example: count calls per quarter or average duration by call type.
These are aggregate calculations applied to entire columns.
Table-level summary calculations
Table-level statistics show totals, minimums, and maximums.
Useful for quickly seeing data ranges, like earliest and latest dates.
Summaries appear at the bottom of each Sigma table.
Default stats include row and column count, with options to add more.
