Duas famílias de transformações

Box-Cox

  • Usada para aproximar uma variável não normal de normal
  • Como família, inclui inversa, log, raízes quadrada e cúbica como casos especiais
  • Funciona apenas com valores estritamente positivos

Equação da transformação Box-Cox.

Yeo-Johnson

  • Propriedades semelhantes às de Box-Cox
  • Lida com valores zero e negativos
  • Para $y$ positivo, é igual a Box-Cox de $y+1$

Equação da transformação Yeo-Johnson.

Aplicando transformações

Receita simples

lr_recipe_plain <- # Definir a receita
  recipe(Loan_Status ~., data = train)
lr_workflow_plain <- # Agrupar em workflow
  workflow() %>%
  add_model(lr_model) %>%
  add_recipe(lr_recipe_plain)
lr_fit_plain <- # ajustar e aumentar
  lr_workflow_plain %>%
  fit(train)

Avaliar desempenho

lr_aug_plain %>% # Avaliar
  class_evaluate(truth = Loan_Status,
                 estimate = .pred_class,
                 .pred_N)

Receita Box-Cox

lr_recipe_BC <- # Definir a receita
  recipe(Loan_Status ~., data = train) %>%
  step_BoxCox(all_numeric())
lr_workflow_BC <- # Agrupar em workflow
  workflow() %>%
  add_model(lr_model) %>%
  add_recipe(lr_recipe_BC)
lr_fit_BC <- # ajustar e aumentar
  lr_workflow_BC %>%
  fit(train)

Mensagem de aviso

Box-Cox não consegue processar valores não positivos

Warning messages:
1: Non-positive values in selected
variable.
2: No Box-Cox transformation could be
estimated for: `CoapplicantIncome`
