Pages de données de table

  • Toutes les données, en mémoire ou sur disque, sont stockées dans des « pages » de 8 kilo-octets
  • Une page peut contenir plusieurs lignes ou une valeur peut s'étendre sur plusieurs pages
  • Une page n'appartient qu'à une seule table
  • SQL Server travaille avec des pages mises en cache en mémoire
  • Si une page n'est pas en cache, elle est lue du disque puis mise en cache en mémoire
